Election of a President of the 2024 City Council (nonbinding vote). Election (ID # 23-1713) Councilor Wilson nominated Councilor Ewen-Campen for President. Councilor Davis seconded the motion. There being no other nominations, Councilor Scott moved to close nominations. The motion was seconded by Councilor Pineda Neufeld. That motion was approved on a Roll Call vote of 11 in favor (Burnley, Mbah, Strezo, Wilson, McLaughlin, Scott, Ewen-Campen, Clingan, Sait, Davis, Pineda Neufeld), 0 opposed, 0 absent. Councilor Ewen-Campen was elected as President, on a unanimous non-binding Roll Call vote of 11 in favor (Burnley, Mbah, Strezo, Wilson, McLaughlin, Scott, Ewen-Campen, Clingan, Sait, Davis, Pineda Neufeld), 0 opposed, 0 absent. Election (ID # 23-1714) Councilor McLaughlin nominated Councilor Pineda Neufeld for Vice President. Councilor Clingan seconded the motion. There being no other nominations, Councilor Davis moved to close nominations. The motion was seconded by Councilor Wilson. That motion was approved on a Roll Call vote of 10 in favor (Mbah, Strezo, Wilson, McLaughlin, Scott, Ewen-Campen, Clingan, Sait, Davis, Pineda Neufeld), 0 opposed, 1 present (Burnley). Councilor Pineda Neufeld was elected as Vice President, on a non-binding Roll Call vote of 8 in favor (Strezo, Wilson, McLaughlin, Ewen-Campen, Clingan, Sait, Davis, Pineda Neufeld), 0 opposed, 3 present (Burnley, Mbah, Scott).
