City of Somerville, Massachusetts City Council Licenses and Permits Committee Meeting Minutes 6:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2025 This meeting was held via Zoom and was called to order by Chair Burnley at 6:00 pm and adjourned at 6:07pm on a roll call vote of 2 in favor (Councilors Davis, Burnley), 0 opposed, and 1 absent (Councilor Strezo) Others present: Melissa Ripley - Assistant City Clerk Roll Call City Councilor At Large Willie Burnley Jr. and Ward Six City Councilor Lance L. Davis Present: City Councilor At Large Kristen Strezo Absent: 1. Approval of the Minutes of the Licenses and Permits Committee Meeting of December 11, 2024. Committee Minutes (ID # 24-1771) ACCEPTED RESULT: City Councilor At Large Burnley Jr. and Ward Six City Councilor Davis AYE: City Councilor At Large Strezo ABSENT: 2. Public Hearings 2.1. New Used Car Dealer Class 2 License, Assembly Square Auto Sales, 37 Mystic Avenue, 1 vehicle inside and 18 vehicles outside, Monday - Sunday: 8am to 8pm. License (ID # 25-0271) This item was discussed with item #25-0184. Chair Burnley asked if the applicant was present to speak on the item. Attorney Adam Dash spoke on behalf of the applicants and stated that the location was formerly an Enterprise Rent-a-Car. The applicants are not seeking to make any changes to the number of vehicles. Attorney Dash confirmed that he notified the Ward 1 City Councilor, who indicated he had no concerns with the applciantions. Attorney Dash responded to Chair Burnley sharing that the owners are new to Somerville and are excited to fill a vacant location. Chair Burnley opened the public hearing at 6:05pm.
