Official Text To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the request submitted by the Law Department on behalf of the City Engineer to facilitate the relocation of the existing London Street Utility Easement to the Poplar Street corridor between Chestnut Street and the MBTA Green Line right-of-way. A vote to terminate the existing London Street Easement is required as explained further in the attached letter from Catherine Lester Salchert, Acting Special Counsel for the City of Somerville.
