Document List: • Questions re Union Sq (with 199896) Approval of the October 28, 2015 Minutes RESULT: ACCEPTED 200186: That the Director of SPCD update the Ward 7 Alderman on the start date of the bike path project behind the Tannery Brook Condominiums. Mr. Rawson and Mr. Glavin reported that the project had been bid out. One of the complicated factors of the project is the Red Line tunnel. Alderman Ballantyne asked two residents, Kathleen Knisely and Will Durbin to comment on this situation. (Mr. Durbin works for Counselor Kelly in Cambridge.) RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 199896: SRA Special Counsel conveying an Amended Master Developer Designation Agreement. Mr. Glavin, Ms. McGettigan and Ms. Thomas spoke on the item. Chairman Niedergang distributed a document to the committee and other members outlining his questions about the

Mr. Glavin stated that he is reviewing resumes of candidates to fill some vacant positions and will update the committee on the progress. Chairman Niedergang asked for the price of the D2 parcel and Alderman Heuston asked about the GLX and if it would effect the fair market value of the D2 parcel. Mr. Zamore spoke about Boynton Yards. Mr. Glavin said the DLJ Capital Partners requested a meeting with the SRA. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 200411: That the Director of SPCD appear before the Committee on Housing and Community Development to apprise this Board of the proposed development at Boynton Yards by DLJ Capital Partners. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 200514: That the Director of SPCD inform this Board of a timeline and communication plan for the Union Square roadway and streetscape reconstruction, inclusive of changes to Webster Avenue and Prospect Street. Mr. Rawson and Mr. Glavin spoke on this item. Discussions were held about returning Webster Avenue and Propect Street back to two-way streets. The project was bid after the new year and bids are expected next week. The construction is scheduled for this spring and Mr. Rawson will make sure small businesses are plugged into the process and alerted of the changes. Alderman Heuston is not totally convinced that the new traffic pattern will not wreak havoc on the community and she believes the real test will be in the fall. Alderman Lafuente asked about parking on these two streets with the new traffic pattern. Chairman Niedergang asked Mr. Rawson to send the committee an email providing an update on the project and the potential parking issues. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 200515: That the Director of SPCD update this Board on the impending reconstruction of Beacon Street, including the contractor, staging, residential communication, and design changes. Mr. Rawson and Mr. Glavin said that OSPC will schedule a series of public meetings, door knocking and ResiStat meetings to help notify the community about the construction. Alderman Heuston discussed other Mass Highway projects and stressed that she wants to make sure there are resources for the direct abutters to find out information on the project. She suggested a “clerk of the works” be available to assist those directly affected by the construction. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 200184: That the Administration provide this Board with a written update on the first

Chairman Niedergang informed the members that the reports were not ready yet. The Inspectional Services Department will be the key contact for the reports. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 200194: Harvard University submitting its Fall 2015 University Accountability report. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 199136: That the Administration discuss its advertising policy for city owned property and plans for community input. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 199242: That the Director of Finance inform this Board of revenue earned from paid advertising on city and state property for FY14 and FY15. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 199243: That the Director of Finance provide a list of active customers paying for advertising on city and state property and provide contract details, including renewal/expiration dates and other terms of their contract. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 199657: That the Supervisor of Inspectional Services and the Director of Traffic and Parking coordinate permits for storage pods and project dumpsters, to avoid multiple bulk items on city streets. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED
