RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 200637: That the Director of SPCD provide all Ward Aldermen with the 2016 street paving plan for all Wards. Mr. Quigley gave a brief summary of the process of selecting streets for paving and said that the 2016 five-year plan has not yet been completed! however, a draft of the streets, as a recommendation for the year 2020, has been received from the consultant, SFT. Mr. Quigley distributed a list for the 2016 roadway resurfacing project. The list is divided in 2 parts by streets that will receive a 2" mill and superpave and those that will receive a microsurface and slurry seal. The city received a plan from Weston & Sampson a week ago that evaluates the condition of the city's water pipes and provides a plan for pipe replacement over the next 15 years. Mr. Quigley suggested putting the list on the city's website for complete transparency. The city must have a disclaimer stating that the list may change without notice. Chair McWatters suggested putting the street paving selection process on the website, as well. Alderman Davis asked about the current ranking of streets; which may not be ones in the worst condition. Alderman Niedergang commented on the 5-year plan which may be ready before the beginning of summer. Chairman McWatters asked Mr. Quigley to provide lists of previous years' paving projects for the committee to review. Alderman Davis asked why Powderhouse Blvd. was not on this year's list and was informed that it is on the list for water line replacement and is anticipated to be repaved not year. Chairman McWatters asked about Chapter 90 funding which is a little over $1M for the paving project. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE
