the ability to show senior citizen discounts,
•
digital pricing, that will allow the cab company to charge less during off-peak times,
•
point to point directions,
•
passenger viewing of the route,
•
copy of the route on the passenger’s receipt and
•
integration with smart phones through an app.

Ms. Horin stated that these meters will be in use in the City of Cambridge very soon. Ms. Horin
explained that there is a limited supply of the new meters and she is interested in installing them
before other communities do. Ms. Horin said that in case of a system malfunction, a redundancy
system would be implemented.
Mr. Wright stated that he does not see any legal issues with this new meter. Mr. Halloran
reviewed the device and stated that it meets all of the necessary specifications. The meter would
be measured the same way as the previous meters. Alderman McLaughlin supports this new
measuring tool and feels that it will provide Green Cab with an opportunity to compete with ride
sharing services.
