CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 2017-____ IN THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN: ____________ Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen, in session assembled, that Section 9- 1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Somerville, is hereby amended by inserting the following language as subsection 9-1(a)(1): (1). The above prohibition in subsection (a) shall not apply to public events in or upon a public park or recreational area, excepting athletic fields, where prior written consent has been issued by way of a license from the Board of Aldermen, a license has been issued by the Somerville Licensing Commission to serve alcoholic beverages to the extent required by law, and provided that no disturbance or annoyance is created thereby.
