The meeting took place in the Committee Room and was called to order at 6:00 PM by Alderman Sullivan and adjourned at 6:30 PM. Approval of the December 7, 2016 Minutes RESULT: ACCEPTED 201808: That the Supervisor of Inspectional Services inspect 39, 45, and 47 Webster Avenue for building code compliance and for the capacity for vehicles at each location, both inside and outside the buildings, and report the findings to the Committee on Licenses and Permits. Mr. Aurilio showed pictures of the area and four business owners appeared with drawings of the lot. ISD will review the drawings. The permit was extended until April 30. Alderman Heuston’s motion, that the Traffic and Parking Engineer and the Director of Transportation and Infrastructure, inspect 39 Webster Avenue to determine if the driveway there (on Webster Avenue) is legal, and report the findings to the Committee on Licenses and Permits, was approved.. The owner of 47 Webster Avenue appeared and stated that the space was rented to two businesses, a glass window business and to another person for storage. Mr. Aurilio reported that there are 2 businesses at 45 Webster Avenue, a body shop and storage area. Alderman Heuston’s motion, that the Superintendent of Inspectional Services meet with the owner of 47 Webster Avenue and inspect the property to determine the number of businesses operating at that location and report the findings to the Licenses and Permits Committee, was approved.
Licenses and Permits Committee Page 2 of 2 Printed 2/10/2017 RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 202493: Renewing Garage License, Inman Collision Center, 45 Webster Ave. Mr. Long told the committee that the applicant has withdrawn this application. RESULT: WITHDRAWN 202708: New Used Car Dealer License Class 2, Gary and Arlene Collins dba Auto Brokers Company, 182 Washington St., 0 autos inside, 26 outside. Mr. Long told the committee that he had mistakenly indicated that the applicant was new when, in fact, the application was simply to renew an existing license. RESULT: APPROVED 202751: Renewing Used Car Dealers License Class 2, CM Auto Sales, 39 Webster Ave. The licenses was extended to April 30, 2017 with the existing conditions. RESULT: APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS 202752: Renewing Garage License, DM Auto Services, 45 Webster Ave. The licenses was extended to April 30, 2017 with the existing conditions.
