The meeting took place in the Committee Room and was called to order at 6:18 PM by Alderman Sullivan and adjourned at 6:29 PM. Approval of the February 8, 2017 Minutes RESULT: ACCEPTED 202970: Renewing Used Car Dealers License Class 2, CM Auto Sales, 39 Webster Ave. Mr. Aurelio discussed the possible necessity of the lot having 2 means of egress, however he recommended one means of egress as being safer. He recommended certain ways to install guard rails. The new plan shows 14 vehicles. Alderman Heuston said she spoke with Lt. Polito about cars being parked at the Newton Street bus stop. The applicant said he was not aware of the bus stop issue. Alderman Heuston wants to condition the license on 14 vehicles, laid out according to the plan discussed at this meeting and there is to be no parking in the bus stop. Chairman Sullivan explained that there must be a couple of spots allocated for customer parking and asked who removed and who would replace the guard rail. The applicant explained why the guard rail was removed. Alderman Heuston said the MWRA was doing work and they might have removed the guard rail. Alderman Heuston’s motion that the DPW install a guard rail in the same location as it was before it was removed, was approved. RESULT: APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS
