CURTATONE MAYOR COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE FY17 FUNDING RECOMMENDATION FOR HEALEY SCHOOLYARD DESIGN, CITY OF SOMERVILLE PARKS AND OPEN SPACE DIVISION PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Somerville will procure design services for a renovated Healey Schoolyard. The full design will likely include plans for a field; costs for the design of the field will be funded through other sources. ELIGIBILITY Open space/recreation land: This project will rehabilitate outdoor recreation land. RECOMMENDED FUNDING On April 26, 2017, by a vote of 8-0, the Community Preservation Committee recommended appropriating $80,000 for this project from the open space and recreation land reserve budget to the control of the City of Somerville for the overall purposes summarized in this document.
