The Workforce Skills Cabinet received 64 applications requesting over $22 million in funding. As you can imagine, the selection process was highly competitive. I am pleased to inform you that City of Somerville was approved for a grant in the amount of $195,111. Please be advised that this award letter does not constitute a contract with the Commonwealth of MA for the grant award specified above. The City of Somerville should not proceed with any purchases/work on this project, which is expected to be reimbursed through the Skills Capital Grant Program, until a contract has been fully executed between the awardee and the MA Executive Office of Education. This award letter is subject to the awardee’s completion of all necessary documents/forms confirming the project plan as outlined in the submitted application and shall not confer any rights onto the City of Somerville.
