The meeting took place in the Committee Room and was called to order at 6:00 PM by Chairman Sullivan and adjourned at 6:34 PM. Approval of the September 27, 2017 Minutes RESULT: ACCEPTED 204246: Submitted by Eversource to install 2,006 feet of ductile steel pipe and conduit beneath Mystic Avenue, from Middlesex Avenue southeasterly to Alfred Lombardi Way. Mr. Collins gave a presentation and discussed the details of the project. He said that the work on Mystic Avenue would only be done during the daytime hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but there may be some night work near Home Depot. The streets will be trenched and cables will be installed. Road plates will be used to cover the trenches. Traffic details were discussed and Mr. Tortel spoke about dealing with abutters. Disruption of utility service will not be an issue, unless an unanticipated break occurs. Mr. Snyder said there are regional benefits to the project. Mr. Collins went over the details of the agreement with the city. Alderman Heuston asked for the details of the field engineer being hired and Mr. Grossfield explained how the field engineer will be paid and who that person will report to. Alderman Niedergang asked about the communications protocol. Alderman Connolly expressed concern about securing the necessary police details during the six week project and asked that providing the city with a two week notice of any night work be made a condition of the permit. Additionally, he would like a condition added that if there are no police details there will be no work. He would also like a condition placed on the trees being planted as part of the project.

RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 204028: Police Detective reporting on an incident in support of possible revocation of the Used Car Dealer License issued to American Auto Gallery, 682 Mystic Ave. Alderman Connolly’s motion that the license issued to American Auto Gallery be revoked, was approved. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 5. Show Cause Hearing re: American Auto Gallery - 682 Mystic Avenue There were no speakers at the hearing. Mr. Long explained the reason for the show cause hearing and provided a history of poor customer service by the business, as described in the police report submitted to the BOA in item #204028. Alderman Connolly queried the notice given to the owner of the business and Mr. Long discussed the notices that were sent 2 weeks prior to this hearing.
