CITY OF SOMERVILLE PROCUREMENT & CONTRACTING SERVICES RFP # 23-34 Acquisition of Commercial Office Space by Lease for Police Station The City of Somerville, acting through the Department of Procurement and Contracting Services, invites sealed bids for a lease of commercial space for use as a police substation serving the neighborhood of West Somerville. A request for proposals (RFP) and specifications may be obtained online at https://www.somervillema.gov/procurement or from the City of Somerville’s electronic bidding platform at http://www.somervillema.gov/BidExpress on or after Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Sealed proposals will be received at the Procurement department, Somerville City Hall, 93 Highland Ave. Somerville, MA 02143 or via Bid Express until Friday February 10, 2023, noon. at which time sealed proposals will be opened. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if, in her sole judgment, the best interest of the City of Somerville would be served by so doing. The ideal location will be in a visible and easily accessible area in the West Somerville community. The desired lease term is three years plus options to extend the lease for up to two additional years. Lease start date shall be March 1, 2023.
