CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 2018-____ In Board of Aldermen__________ Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen, in session assembled, that the Code of Ordinances of the City of Somerville is hereby amended as follows: Section 1-11(b) of the Code of Ordinances is amended by replacing the language providing for penalties for violation of Section 9-56 as follows: Offense Fine Enforcing Personnel Vegetation and Wood on Private Property (Sec. 9- 56)(b),(c), and (d)) Vegetation and Wood on Private Property (Sec. 9- 56(a)) 1st offense: warning for first ongoing incident 2nd offense: $35 per day for second ongoing incident 3rd and subsequent offense: $50.00 per day for third and subsequent ongoing incident 1st offense: warning for first ongoing incident 2nd offense: $35 per day for second ongoing incident 3rd and subsequent offense: $300 per day for third and subsequent ongoing incident Police, commissioner of public works; inspectional services; health inspectors Approved: ________________________ President Board of Aldermen
