Submittal – December 10, 2018 Page 1 of 1 CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 2018- In Board of Aldermen AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9-3(b) OF THE SOMERVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES WHEREAS, The City of Somerville adopted Ordinance No. 2018-18 relative to new licensing requirements for adult-use marijuana establishments regulated under section 34 of chapter 94C of the General Laws and 935 CMR 500; and WHEREAS, This ordinance is intended to clarify certain ambiguity in the below provision of Ordinance No. 2018-18 consistent with the purpose of the adopted licensing requirements, THEREFORE, be it adopted by the Board of Aldermen, in session assembled, that the below listed section of the Somerville Code of Ordinances are hereby amended as follows: (underlined language is added, stike-out language is deleted) Chapter 9, Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions, Sec. 9-3 (b) of the Code of Ordinances is amended to read as follows: (b) No person shall sell or deliver marijuana or tetrahydrocannabinol, unless licensed by the Licensing Commission and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and also permitted under Sections SZO 7.15 or 7.16.
