2019-Proposed Living Wage ordinance amendments 3.25.19 — File 207754

CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NUMBER 2019- In City Council: Be it ordained by the City Council, in session assembled, that Division 3 of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Somerville is hereby amended as follows: The definition of covered employee as appears in Section 2-398 is hereby amended by striking the second sentence: ""covered employee" shall not include individuals in a youth program;" The definition of youth program as appears in Section 2-398 is hereby deleted; The first sentence of Section 2-399(b) is hereby amended by replacing the amount "$10.84" with the amount "$15.00"; and The second sentence of Section 2-399(b) is hereby amended by replacing the number "2009" with the number "2019”. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 2019, except the amendments related to youth program which shall take effect July 1, 2020. Approved: President City Council
