We did not have this information at the meeting and, as such, are following up on it now. On behalf of Chief Fallon, please see below the questions and the responses, as requested: 1. What is the monetary “split” between the State and City on a Traffic enforcement (Chapter 90) citation? The law calls for a 50%-50% split but that doesn’t always mean the state comes through with the money. All the revenue flows to the State General Fund and they parcel it out to the communities. Years ago, the revenue went to a separate fund. 2. Is a violation of 20MPH Speed zone in the City a Chapter 90 Violation and subject to same “split”? I don’t believe there’s any distinction between a 20MPH violation. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
