Title III B FFY 2021 Somerville Council on Aging Transportation Project Work Plan Goal #1 Objectives and Time Frames Provide safe, efficient and on time transportation services during the COVID-19 pandemic. 1. Either Green Cab Co., Inc. or SCM will provide round trip transportation 2. Use SCM and Green Cab Inc., throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure older adults are able to access essentials such as food and medication. 3. Use SCM transportation to assist with food box deliveries during our Brown Bag Program. Goal #2 Objectives and Time Frames When it is determined safe to resume in-person services. Transportation will assist in combatting isolation for older adults who are unable to drive, do not own a car, or are unable to use public transportation 1. Providing transportation helps to combat a barrier for isolated seniors, allowing them to participate in programming. 2. Transportation allows older adults to participate in our communal meals, ensuring an opportunity for socialization and a nutritious meal.
