Social or cultural benefits:
Other neighbors have applied for street closure permits for
this location for block parties in the past. Abutting
neighbors to this section of the street have always been
amenable. With COVID restrictions lifting, neighbors are
excited to gather again. The street closure allows us to do
so with greater safety and allows the neighborhood
children a larger play area.
Financial benefits:
Since COVID began, we have several new home-owners or
renters in our neighborhood. This will be a first opportunity
for us to invite them to a larger gathering.
