It always well attended by Somerville residents. It raises money for several local charities and organizations.   Financial benefits:  The race donates to Somerville charities and organizations including the Sean Collier Scholarship fund, the Somerville Track Pac at Somerville HS, the Somerville Homeless Coalition, and the Dilboy VFW Veteran's Relief Fund. Over the past 6 years these donations have totaled over $192,000, with $39,000 in 2019 alone. In 2020 we held a free virtual event and raised over $10,000 for these charities.
