CPC Funding Recommendation Open Space Acquisition Fund — File 212878

        COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION FOR   Open Space Land Acquisition Fund Contribution    PROJECT DESCRIPTION   The City of Somerville Public Space and Urban Forestry Division (PSUF) is seeking seed funding for the  Open Space Land Acquisition Fund so that open space parcels can be acquired.   ELIGIBILITY  Open space/recreation land: This project would acquire and create new recreational land.  RECOMMENDATION  On November 17, 2021 by a vote of 8‐0‐0 the Community Preservation Committee recommended that  PSUF be awarded $250,000 of Community Preservation Act funds as a contribution to the City’s Open  Space Acquisition Fund, as described in their application presented in October, 2021 from the following  accounts:     Category:  Open Space and Recreation  Recommended Funding Source  Amount  Open Space Land Acquisition Fund  Contribution  Open Space Reserve  $250,000    FUNDING CONDITIONS   The City, as appropriate, agrees to post a sign stating that the open space acquired or  created with these funds was funded through the City of Somerville’s Community  Preservation Act program.   A perpetual conservation restriction will be recorded on all properties acquired with CPA  funds per the requirement of the CPA enabling legislation.      JOSEPH A.
