bollywood funk, cosmic americana, killer blues,
Moroccan, Balkan, gospel, American space rock and
clawhammer banjo will serenade passersby from
porches throughout Somerville.

the way, they stop into shops to grab a snack or to enter
a store they haven't visited before.

The Somerville Arts Council takes the lead in promoting
the event throughout the city. In addition, individual
musicians will be promoting their own performances on
social media.

Annually since 2011, except for 2020. This is the third
time we are seeking a license to have the street closed to
traffic. We asked for and received a license to have the
street closed to traffic in 2020, prior to the event's
cancellation due to COVID. We received a second
license in 2022 and the event on Charnwood Rd
proceeded without incident.
