What is your budget for this event:
Social or cultural benefits:
The event provides social and cultural benefits by
showcasing diverse cuisines from local vendors, fostering
cultural appreciation and economic support. The event
provides sponsorship opportunities at all levels so that all
Davis Sq businesses can easily be involved. Residents
have the opportunity to explore new restaurants and build
community connections to foster pride in the Somerville
community.
Financial benefits:
Davis Sq restaurants will donate food and servers for 300
small portions and will be included an a Punch Ticket with
$1000 drawing at the end of the calendar year. Thus,
participating restaurants benefit from exposure to
hundreds of potential new customers, as well as media
coverage and visibility leading up to the event. The
participating restaurants do not directly benefit financially
from the proceeds of the event. 100% of funds raised will
be used to contract for professional grant writer(s) to work
with local NGOs. However, the exposure will, in turn,
create financial benefits.

Current layout on Herbert Street is not acceptable. Emergency vehicles will be unable to pass in the event of an emergency with the current layout. A stage
currently blocks the corner of Herbert & Day and multiple obstructions are in the travel lane of Herbert. Please present a new plan showing a 10 foot
emergency lane. Contact Fire Prevention regarding the use of propane. Any barriers used to block the street should be easily moveable in the event of an
emergency.
