PUBLIC EVENT/SPECIAL ALCOHOL LICENSE APPLICATION City of Somerville, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Application #: PEL24-000187 File #: 21-013637 Public Event Application for: Elizabeth Peabody House Organization name: Association Elizabeth Peabody House Fall Festival Event name: This event, on October 19th 2024, will bring Description: together families in and around Somerville to have fun, build community, and promote the education and food access services of the Elizabeth Peabody House (EPH). The event will include live music, local food and alcohol vendors, tours of EPH's historic building, and activities for children. While not finalized at the time of this application (7 /31/24), past children's activities have included a bouncy house, magic shows, arts and crafts, and LEGO building. EPH will work with local musical acts to provide entertainment in the parking lot outside our building. We expect food to be provided from 2 - 5 local restaurants or businesses, and the on-site alcohol vendor will most likely be Winter Hill Brewing Co. The alcohol vendor will provide employees who are TIPS certified. The event will run from 12-4pm and there will not be a charge to attend. We will be pursuing sponsors for this event and will also have the opportunity for individuals to make donations to EPH in order to cover the costs of event operation. We hope to have around 200-300 attendees (children and adults) pass through within the four hours. Elizabeth Peabody House's proposed Fall Location: Festival will take place outside our building at 275-277 Broadway. We anticipate the event operating inside our building, in our private backyard, and occupying the parking lot/sidewalk directly outside our building. Vendors may supply their own 8x8 or 10x10 tents based on their needs and preferences. Children and families will be able to mingle and build stronger community with each other through this event.
