I do not see a need to shut down this street every Friday when there is adequate open space directly abutting and a nearby park. This will be approved but I will be monitoring this and may deny such requests in the future. The travel portion of the street is to remain unobstructed to allow easy passage of emergency vehicles if necessary. Only easy moveable barriers shall be used to block the street.
