Trailer Donations — File 24-1445

October 4, 2024 Subject: Request to accept Emergency Trailer donations from the City of Boston The City of Boston Department of Emergency Management has offered a donation to the City of Somerville Department of Public Works for one shelter trailer and one cargo storage trailer. The shelter trailer primary function is to serve the community during emergencies and the cargo trailer specifically for storage purposes. The trailers are currently valued at approximately $7,500 each. Both trailers are in extremely well-maintained condition and were originally obtained by the City of Boston through federal grant funds. The City of Boston has notified the Department of Homeland Security of the asset transfer (see attached memo of transfer).
