It's a great opportunity to bring the community together, to participate in an artistic activity outside, and to better our neighborhood   Financial benefits:  When we repainted the mural in 2021, I met someone at the block party who told me they chose to move into our neighborhood when they saw the mural on Google Maps. This mural is literally attracting residents to the neighborhood, which is a great benefit for Somerville. We'll also have snacks and I'm sure many local businesses will benefit from food sales. The local organization Neighbor Ways, that designed the mural, will also benefit from its promotion.
