The 6-kilometer distance represents the average journey women and children in Sub-Saharan Africa must walk daily to access clean water. This event brings together students, faculty, and residents from the Tufts, Somerville, and Medford communities to run or walk in support of EWB’s mission of sustainable engineering solutions. Each year, the event fosters a lively and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging participants of all experience levels to engage in a meaningful cause. Local businesses have the opportunity to sponsor and connect with attendees through promotional booths, branding opportunities, and special offers. This year’s race will take place on Sunday, April 7th, with the event beginning at 11: 00 AM and the race starting at 11:30 AM. By participating in or supporting the Fred Berger 6K, attendees help fund Tufts EWB’s ongoing efforts to provide sustainable infrastructure and clean water solutions in international communities.
