We will have 2 stages of music featuring local artists and bands. There will be craft vendors participation as well and other interactive activities and roaming acts. 2 stages will be set up for music, Temporary Structures: tables and chairs, 10x10 tents for craft vendors. Attendees: Max attendance at one time: 1200 Total people attending: 3000 Maximum attendees accommodated: 3000 Total Somerville residents attending: 2500 free Attendee fees or suggested donations: 6500 What is your budget for this event: Social or cultural benefits: SomerStreets is the City of Somerville's take on Open Streets concept, closing streets to cars and opening them up for cycling, walking, dancing, and other modes of activity. This event brings food, music, and programming from all over the world supporting the arts and encouraging people to come out and celebrate. Financial benefits: This event includes the participation of the restaurants and businesses along Broadway. It brings large crowds and exposure to these businesses that really need it. Yes Festival takes place on Broadway from McGrath Highway to Franklin St and Pennsylvania Ave. Sidewalks blocked? No Describe any accessibility features available to attendees/participants There will be designated ADA accessible parking spots, sidewalks and crosswalks will be kept clear. Any set up will allow for enough space and accessibility. There is also an ADA compliant space where we will have chairs, water, away from crowd for anyone that needs it.
