We will have games led by event organizers and community volunteers. All attendees will be encouraged to join in the game stations, enjoy the period refreshments, and visit the local history and souvenir tables. Entertainment: Colonial games and activities, refreshments, and the opportunity to greet Paul Revere. 18 tables and 20 chairs to Temporary Structures: accompany them at the Park staging, podium, and 20-25 chairs We also need electricity, a lectern w. a microphone, plus a standing microphone that can be moved up and down for the youth reading poems on the stage, If the forecast predicts rain (as hopefully snow is finally out of season!), we would appreciate 10 City pop-up tents /canopies to cover some of the key tables, such as food /drinks, sales items, and paper goods. 4-5 garbage cans/boxes porta-potty Attendees: Max attendance at one time: 50 Total people attending: 250 Maximum attendees accommodated: 250 Total Somerville residents attending: 200 This event is free Attendee fees or suggested donations: 1,550 What is your budget for this event: Social or cultural benefits: We will celebrate American history, honor heroes, and foster community. Attendees will understand more about American History in Somerville. A day to participate in community events and activities. A day to consider the values that define America, such as freedom, compassion, and resilience, and how they relate to our community today. Financial benefits: Increased tourism. Visitors will be encouraged to patronize local businesses before and after the festival. Please note, submitting an application does not insure a license will be issued.
