DPW Water Dept Boiler System: The Water Department Boiler System failed in the fall of 2024 and requires full replacement. There is currently a rental boiler in place. The expense to lease and run the mobile boiler is approximately $100,000 per year. DPW proposes to design, remove and replace the current boiler. The cost to complete this project is approximately $350,000. The project will include. • Design and engineering by design firm • Bidding administration by design firm • Construction management by design firm • Furnish, remove and replace boiler and related components Brown School Boiler Systems: The Brown School boiler system failed in the fall of 2024 and requires full replacement. There is currently a rental boiler in place. The annual expense to lease and run the mobile boiler is approximately $100,000. DPW proposes to design, remove and replace the current boilers. The cost to complete this project is approximately $450,000.
