Event name:
Ceremony 2025
This is the 5th Annual India & U.S. Flag
Description:
Raising Ceremony, a heartfelt celebration of unity,
heritage, and community hosted in partnership with the
City of Somerville and the India Association of Greater
Boston (IAGB).
This special event honors India’s 78th Independence Day
while paying tribute to the United States — the country so
many of Somerville residents proudly call home. Under this
year’s inspiring theme, “Working Together to Build a
Stronger Community,” community members will come
together to raise both the Indian and American flags in a
powerful display of shared civic pride and cultural harmony.
The ceremony will include remarks from local leaders,
community members, and IAGB representatives —
celebrating the vibrant contributions of Indian Americans
and the values of inclusion, unity, and mutual respect that
strengthen us all.
All are welcome to attend this brief yet meaningful
celebration.
