We want to recognize the lives lost, give space for those who are grieving these loses, and come together as a community to give hope and support to those struggling as a result of this epidemic. We will be placing purple flags in the lawn of city hall (facing Highland Ave.) representing the Somervillian lives lost to overdose this past year. Citizens who attend will be encouraged to help place the flags and add a small item of memorabilia if they wish for
their loved one. We will conclude the hour with a candle lighting and a moment of silence.
