take on the internationally-renowned Open Streets concept, closing busy city streets to vehicles, and opening them up for
cycling, walking, dancing, running, and other modes of activity. Through SomerStreets, the City and its community partners
aim to promote and encourage easy access to physical activity, and reconnecting with neighborhoods and businesses and
their unique cultural elements in a thriving urban environment.

people from and out of Somerville to enjoy the local businesses. We also make an effort to partner with businesses on the
route of the festival.

Describe the Event: A street festival to celebrate community and the arts. SomerStreets is the City's take on the
internationally-renowned Open Streets concept, closing busy streets to vehicles and opening them up for cycling, walking,
dancing, running and other modes of activity. Through this street festival the city and its community partners aim to promote
and encourage easy access to physical activity and reconnecting with neighborhoods and businesses and their unique
cultural elements in a thriving urban environment.
Describe any Entertainment at the Event (if none, type None): Two stages of music, interactive activities like Parkour and
Somerville Recreation, craft vendors, community tabling, roaming railroad, and much more.
Describe any tents, inflatables, or other temporary structures to be used (if none, type None): 10x10 tents, tables,
chairs, music stages.
Describe any accessibility features available to attendees/participants: All festival activities are required to have
accessible options. Sidewalks and crosswalks will remain clear throughout the event. Chairs will be available near the stages
for audience members who need seating. A water buggy will be provided as a water station, and ADA-compliant portable
restrooms and reserved ADA parking spots will also be available.
