Grantee provides documentation of actual expenses corresponding to line items represented in the Attachment D Budget Sheet. Grantee provides a copy of all training Certificates of Completion. Grantee will input data of CIT-related behavioral health crisis/follow-up calls in the JDP database. Grantee provides quarterly report data including: 1. Number of police officers in department 2. Number of police officers and dispatch staff trained in CIT, Mental Health First Aid, and other approved behavioral health trainings. Total hours of any training received via this grant will be recorded and submitted. 3. By 4/30/26, the Somerville Police Department will develop a CIT policy that will describe in detail how CIT certified police officers will be utilized to respond to behavioral health crisis calls. Especially since Somerville is a CIT-TTAC, it is hoped that their CIT policy will be largely replicable to other area departments. The CIT policy will be shared with the DMH grant manager. 4. Number of behavioral health-related calls per year with a trained officer responding. 5. Description of any other impacts from the receipt of training received as a result of this grant. Invoices for reimbursement for actual expenditures may be submitted at any time within the dates of service of this SOW agreement. Monthly invoicing is preferred when costs are incurred. (Quarterly invoicing may be appropriate in some cases.) Expenses within a fiscal year will be reimbursed by funds authorized for that fiscal year only. Final invoices must be submitted in adherence to the submission deadline established by the Commonwealth. TRAINING/BACKFILL REIMBURSEMENT: The City of Somerville will use grant funds for the reimbursement of costs for training time and/or shift backfill that will support police officers to attend Crisis Intervention Training or CIT recertification offered by the Metro-Boston CIT-TTAC based out of the Somerville Police Department, but held in various Metro-Boston and Northeast areas. It is planned that 7 officers will become newly certified in CIT and 25 officers and supervisors will attend CIT Recertification and become recertified in CIT. Additional behavioral health trainings offered by the MB CIT-TTAC can be considered for grant use with approval from DMH. Additionally, grant funds will support overtime for CIT coordinators, the SRT officer and the SPD Training Lieutenant to assist with trainings and attend CIT-related meetings.
