Describe any social or cultural benefits of this event for Somerville residents : This event is a part of the engagement
process for the Somerville Avenue Quick Build Safety Improvements project. The open house will provide a space where
community members can provide feedback on a City project. Hosting an open house event creates a more inviting and
engaging environment for community members. We will have free food and refreshments for meeting attendees.

Event Name : Somerville Avenue Quick Build Safety Improvements Open House
Describe the Event: The City of Somerville's Mobility Division is jointly applying for a public event license to host an open
house on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30pm-7:30pm (request for 30 minutes of set up and clean up time, 5:00pm - 8:00pm) for
the Somerville Avenue Quick Build Safety Improvements project (voice.somervillema.gov/somervilleavenue). We plan to
have several different stations describing the concept design and gathering community feedback. Food and refreshments will
be provided. We request access to Conway Park and will make sure that the park is still open to the public to use.

Describe any tents, inflatables, or other temporary structures to be used (if none, type None): We will use folding
tables to display information posters.
Describe any accessibility features available to attendees/participants: The park can be accessed through curb cuts on
existing sidewalks.

be added to the City calendar. We will share information through local organizations in the project area including Union
Square Main Streets.
