City of Somerville, Massachusetts Legislative Matters Committee Meeting Minutes Dispositions 6:00 PM Virtual Tuesday, May 5, 2026 This meeting was held via Zoom and was called to order by Chair Scott at 6:07pm and adjourned at 7:30pm on a roll call vote of 4 in favor (Councilors Davis, Ewen-Campen, Strezo, Scott), 0 opposed, and 1 absent (Councilor Mbah). Councilor Ewen-Campen joined the meeting at 6:26pm. Others present: David Shapiro - Deputy City Attorney, Brendan Salisbury - Legislative & Policy Analyst, Yasmine Raddassi - Legislative Liaison, Madalyn Letellier - Assistant City Clerk, Legislative Services. Roll Call Ward Six City Councilor Lance L. Davis, City Councilor At Large Wilfred N. Mbah, Ward Three City Councilor Ben Ewen-Campen, City Councilor At Large Kristen Strezo and Ward Two City Councilor Jefferson Thomas (J.T.) Scott Present: 1. Amending Chapter 2, Article III of the Code of Ordinances by adding a new section establishing the time and place of regular meetings of the City Council. 26-0046 Councilor Davis Sponsors: Kept in committee 2. That Rule 4 of the Rules of the City Council be amended to update submission deadlines for agenda items, consistent with the provisions of the Open Meeting Law. 26-0354 Councilor Davis Sponsors: Recommended to be approved Ward Six City Councilor Davis, Ward Three City Councilor Ewen-Campen, City Councilor At Large Strezo and Ward Two City Councilor Scott Aye: City Councilor At Large Mbah Absent: 3.
