Please select the top three areas in which you have working knowledge, strong interest, and/or experience: Community Health Natural Resources Transportation / Mobility Statement of Interest: I want to join the Climate Action Commission to ensure Somerville’s environmental goals reach every resident. While the city provides resources in several languages, my background as a Moroccan-Italian immigrant allows me to fill a critical gap. As a fellow at Books of Hope, I have mastered the art of storytelling to connect with diverse audiences and share the immigrant experience. I can support the Commission’s work by providing outreach in Arabic and Italian, ensuring these communities are not left out of our climate future. Combined with my experience in the Mayor’s Summer Youth Jobs Program and my leadership as a Dance Captain, I have the communication skills to translate complex city policies into community action that is truly inclusive of all Somerville residents.
