Please select the top three areas in which you have working knowledge, strong interest, and/or experience: Equity Energy Public Outreach and Engagement Statement of Interest: With the climate crisis upon us in full force, disproportionately impacting overly burdened and underserved communities, local action is one of the most powerful tools that we have at our disposal to make change that is timely and effective. Currently, I work as the Energy Consumer Liaison for the Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. I spend my day-to-day doing statewide community engagement around energy affordability and decarbonization. I value the partnerships I make with grassroots changemakers -- municipal staff, community-based organizations, and residents. My work at the state level excites me every day, and I also know I want to work at the local scale too, where I can work on climate issues IN community rather than as a guest in one. My experience with energy regulation, consumer protection relating to energy companies, and understanding of the shared and differing energy challenges across the state will bring a unique lens to the broad goals of the Climate Action Commission. One way I could support the Climate Action Commission with this knowledge base is by hosting energy bill check-ups for Somerville residents -- I can help people understand their energy bills, get off high third-party supplier rates, and enroll in energy bill assistance programs if they are eligible. Last year, I graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. I worked for the Tufts Office of Sustainability all four years of college in a variety of roles: Recycling and Waste Management, Climate Resilience Education, and Environmental Justice Community Engagement. I gained a wide breadth of environmental knowledge through academics and my on-campus jobs, which I am excited to apply to the different committees and events of the Climate Action Commission. There is a lot of environmental action to cover in Somerville, and having a jack-of-all trades background can make me a utility member of the Commission. During college, I also interned for the Alliance for Climate Transition and the Massachusetts Building Electrification Accelerator. These experiences showed me how

energy fits into climate justice, and pushed me to be an outspoken advocate for heat pumps, energy efficiency, and other clean technologies. I have a Rewiring America Electric Coach certification, which I could utilize to run 1:1 heat pump coaching sessions or large- group presentations for the Climate Action Commission. As a Somerville resident, I am excited by an opportunity to concentrate my environmental and energy knowledge, outreach strategies, and passion for community building on the local scale.
