Description: ArtBeat is a day long festival to celebrate
the arts and culture of our city. We shut down Davis
Square for craft vendors, two stages of music, dance in
the Somerville Theater and host interactive activities for
all ages. These year's theme is "Pulse". We invite artists
of all kinds, and community members to interpret the
"pulse" theme in myriad ways.
Location: ArtBeat takes place in the heart of Davis
Square. We have festivities happening in Statue Park, on
Holland Ave, Seven Hills Park and Elm street.

Entertainment: This event hosts a number of
entertainment acts: Craft vendors, two stages of music,
dance in the Somerville Theater and host interactive
activities and performances throughout the square.
Temporary Structures: Tents (will be 10x10), tables,
chairs, porta johns, stages for music, barriers to block
roads.

a dozen bands, dance troupes, craft vendors, activities
for all ages and showcasing art in all formats. This gives
opportunity for our local arts and culture to continue
growing and to bring the community together.
Financial benefits:
ArtBeat being one of the city's largest festivals, it
successfully brings large crowds from all over into and
through Davis Square directly supporting the businesses.

Davis Square will be shut down. Elm street will be closed
coming out from center of Davis Square. There will still
be access from Highland Ave going into College Ave and
from College Ave through Winter St into Holland. Exact
details will be determined in IAP.

Sidewalks and crosswalks will be kept clear. The layout
of tables ad other components of festival will make sure
to follow ADA compliant rules. We'll have ADA accessible
parking available for anyone coming in.
