Teams will be handed print outs of paper Puzzles. There will be no pieces scattered anywhere. Members of the host team will be available near each location to help teams if they're stuck. At the start of the day, we gather the teams in a park, welcome them to the event and present a theme. They divide into three loose groups that each start near a different T stop, moving to the next location when they're ready. After having gone to each of the day's locations, they meet back in the park at the end of the day, to pick up unclaimed copies of the puzzles, to resolve the theme, and for lost and found (if needed). Some puzzles will use information near their location; outdoor sculptures, painted switch boxes, murals & other public art. Nothing requires touching or altering location items. Most teams will settle in one place each round. Usually on a bench or table or picnic blanket, or a restaurant when they're ready to buy a meal. On Sunday, August 27, we kick off at 11 am in Nathan Tufts Park. Teams will solve 3 rounds; near Medford / Tufts, Ball and Magoun. On Sunday, September 10, we kick off at 11 am in Prospect Hill Park. Teams will solve 3 rounds; near Gilman, East Somerville Station, and Union Square.   Financial benefits:  Most of these teams will buy at least one meal in the area during each day. The standard insurance amount is for $1M per occurrence and $2M in aggregate. The current quote I have is for $301 which covers both days for up to 400 people (total; 200 per date) and no additional venues. Other than the City of Somerville, I don't think we are expecting any additional venues. Will any public parks be used?
