File 23-1307·1 page·📄 Original PDF (city portal)·sha256 1eb4c0c946ad…
Date: November 14, 2022 To: Morena Zelaya, Housing Policy Coordinator City of Somerville (condoboard@somervillema.gov) From: Jennifer A. Tsolas, Somerville resident Subject: Condominium Review Board opening Hello, I am writing to submit my application for the vacant tenant position on the City of Somerville Condominium Review Board. I would be honored to give back to my community by serving on the board and helping to uphold the tenant protections provided in the Somerville Condominium Conversion Ordinance. You will see from my included resume that while I currently work in sales in the furniture/design industry, prior to 2021, I was working in the human services sector of the non- profit industry. For over 15 years I worked with non-profit organizations in the Greater Boston area in the areas of homelessness prevention, affordable housing and hunger relief. In each one of these positions, I served residents of Somerville. I am currently a Somerville resident, renting at 15A Porter Street (as of June 15th 2022). Prior to this tenancy, I rented next door at 15 Porter Street for almost 3 years. I also lived in Somerville on Liberty Ave from 2006 – 2009. In between I lived in Medford and Boston. I have many ties to the local community and consider Somerville to be my home. I hope that this brief letter and my resume provide some insight into why I am a great candidate for this opening, but I welcome the opportunity to talk further by phone, virtually or in person. Regards, Jennifer Tsolas
