Recreation Services Use of indoor or outdoor space for the communal or solitary, active or passive pursuit of leisure recreational activities. The following standards apply: i. All outdoor lighting must be turned off when outdoor facilities are not in use, or by 10:00 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and by 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, whichever is earlier. ii. In addition to the review criteria for all Special Permits specified in §15.2.1.e. Review Criteria, the review board shall make findings considering the following in its discretion to approve or deny a special permit authorizing a Recreation Services principal use: a. Compatibility with the level of activity associated with the surrounding properties. b. Capacity of the local thoroughfare network providing access to the site and impact on pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic and circulation patterns in the neighborhood. c. Location and visibility of the principal entrance and pedestrian circulation from all exit points. The following recreation services specific use types are regulated differently than other uses classified within the recreation services use category: iii. Recreational Camp for Children A licensed recreational camp for children as defined in 105 CMR 430.
