Description: The annual 6k run is a fundraiser for
Engineers Without Borders at Tufts. The funds will go to
our project teams, which are designing and implementing
clean water access systems in Malawi and Nicaragua. 6
kilometers is the average distance walked to get access
to clean water in Africa a day.
This has historically been a small scale event relative to
similar events, and we expect it to have little to no
disturbance on our neighbors.
Location: We will be holding a 6k run that starts in and
is based around the Tufts campus, but the path goes
through Somerville public roads. These are the
Somerville roads it will include: Lower Campus Road,
Powderhouse Boulevard, Alewife Brook Parkway, Boston
Ave, Curtis Street, Sawyer Ave, Talbot Ave.
