This Earth Day celebration will engage the community in environmental and food justice learning opportunities. Attendees can connect with fellow residents while volunteering on the farm and learning about other local community and nonprofit organizations, including the planting of pollinator seeds. Financial benefits: We are collaborating with Portico Brewery, a local brewery across the street from South Street Farm, to promote their business and each other's Earth Day events. We are also in communication with Boynton Yards to invite residents. In addition, we have a partnership with The Community Growing Center on our Earth Day events which are taking place on the same day, as well as The City of Somerville Office of Sustainability and Environment. Several other community organizations will have the opportunity to table at the event as well.
