Social or cultural benefits:
LN has performed at Porchfest for the past six years,
always at 83 Hancock St. Friends and residents return

performance, we facilitate a joyful experience that
embodies the essence of Porchfest.
Financial benefits:
We put out a bin and signage to collect donations for
Somerville-based orgs, e.g. Groundwork Somerville and

Streets blocked?
Yes
My understanding's that several Porchfest bands on
Charnwood Rd have already submitted for a block party
1.
permit. If that's accurate and Charnwood is shut down, I
assume we'd need to shut down the full Hancock St block,
from Highland Ave to Summer St, at least to thru-traffic. If
so, then cars wouldn't be able to access Charnwood Rd or
Windsor Rd from Hancock St.
Sidewalks blocked?
Yes
Sidewalks won't be formally blocked, but may be hard to
walk directly down because two LN band members will
perform on the sidewalk. Plus, some attendees hang out
and dance with us on the sidewalk.
