Alderman Sullivan informed the members that he filed a disclosure statement regarding his wife’s employment as a consultant for the SMEA and he noted that he was assured that there would be no conflict with his voting on the city budget. Alderman Sullivan also noted that the union represented by his wife is not the same union representing city's school custodians. A hybrid plan will commence with 8 schools being serviced by 28 FTE's, 3 FTE's at the High School and 1 FTE at the Winter Hill School. Seventeen individuals in the department will be laid off and invited to apply for employment with the new cleaning contractor.
