Alderman Roche inquired about a possible conflict of interest since Ms. Campbell is a city employee and Mr. Collins assured the members that no conflict exists, pointing out that previous commission members had been city employees, as well. Ms. Campbell explained her role as the city's ADA Coordinator. Ms. Kellyann Binari, the Chair of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities, told the members that Ms. Campbell has been invaluable over the last 2 years . RESULT: APPROVED 189955 - Request the appointment of Jay McKenzie to the position of Permanent Firefighter.: Ms. Baker informed the members that the 3 Fire Fighter candidates before the committee this evening were taken from the reserve list and noted that no other person on that list was by- passed. These candidates were the top three individuals on the reserve list. Alderman White suggested that records of notifications for appointment to the reserve list be maintained to track

Committee interviewed Mr. McKenzie for the position of fire fighter and stressed the importance of the city's residency rule. RESULT: APPROVED 189956 - Requesting the appointment of Thomas Medeiros to the position of Permanent Firefighter.: Committee interviewed Mr. Medeiros for the position of fire fighter and stressed the importance of the city's residency rule. RESULT: APPROVED 189957 - Requesting the appointment of David Pantanella to the position of Permanent Firefighter.: The Committee interviewed Mr. David Pantanella for the position of fire fighter and stressed the importance of the city's residency rule. RESULT: APPROVED 189958 - Requesting the appointment of Ann Kardos to the Board of Trustees of the Somerville Public Library.: No discussion. RESULT: APPROVED
