Ald. Gewirtz requested a response to #190221 re: civil service communications and the hiring of Reserve
Firefighters.
The Aldermen discussed the absence on this meeting's agenda of a response to #190221, an Order by
Aldermen White and Gewirtz, that the Director of Personnel, Robert Collins, Matthew Buckley, and
the Chief Fire Engineer appear before this Board to explain why this Board was never informed of
the MA Human Resources Dept. directive that Sean O'Brien be placed #1 on the Certification from
which the City appointed 9 Reserve Firefighters. The Aldermen discussed whether the named city
officials should be gathered to appear at this meeting. The item was laid on the table, and was picked
up and addressed later--see Agenda #60 (#190356).
