A revised version encompassing all changes will be presented with this report at the February 10th BOA meeting. RESULT: APPROVED AS AMENDED 189880 - That the Environmental Programs Manager investigate creating a paper/plastic recycling initiative at fast food establishments.: Mr. Lutes told the members that the Health Department is looking into this matter. Chairman Taylor requested that Mr. Lutes work with the Law Department on this matter and suggested that the Chamber of Commerce deal with local businesses on the issue. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE

Committee Meeting February 8, 2011 Legislative Matters Committee Page 2 of 2 Printed 2/10/2011 190570 - City Solicitor conveying Home Rule Petition language re: #188396, a proposal to amend the City Charter.: RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 190737 - Requesting approval of an amendment to the Ordinances at Chapter 12 regarding the Placement and Maintenance of News racks.: Ms. Thomas spoke about the proposal and referenced a case in the 11th Circuit and added that she has concerns about the advertising aspect of the proposal. RESULT: APPROVED
